Meet Our Team | Virginia Beach, VA
Connie has been the practice manager of Gentle Dental Center since it opened. She went to Vanderbilt University and is a member of the American Association of Dental Office Management. Her special areas of interest include insurance, implant procedures and full mouth cases.
Connie strives to be as helpful as possible to give patients a great experience. She guides the patients through their insurance claims and works closely with the insurance companies to better serve the patients.
Outside of the office, Connie loves spending time with her two daughters and friends and she also enjoys traveling and sight-seeing.
Sunny joined the Gentle Dental Center practice in 2011 as a dental hygienist. She grew up in Morehead City, NC and received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry summa cum laude, from North Carolina State University. Sunny went on to pursue a career in dental hygiene from Coastal Carolina Community College where she graduated valedictorian of the dental hygiene class of 2010.
Sunny is fun, energetic and deeply passionate about the well-being of each of her patients. Every patient will find that she is devoted to helping in any way possible.
Outside of the office, Sunny loves paddle boarding and sports (especially baseball). She also enjoys spending time with her husband and her golden retriever, Buffett.
Lead Dental Assistant
Kiara joined the Gentle Dental Center team in 2013 as a lead dental assistant. She has certifications in dental assisting from Dental Careers Foundation. She is also CPR certified and X-ray certified. Kiara loves cosmetic restorations like crowns and veneers because she loves helping make people smile! In addition, Kiara loves easing patient’s fears and watching their faces light up when they see their new smile!
Kiara is married and has one son. She is a Navy wife with dreams to become a dental hygienist very soon. Outside the office, Kiara loves spending time with her family doing any outdoor activities especially going to the beach. She loves taking pictures and shopping of course.
Front Desk Coordinator
Keron, our front desk coordinator, has over 20 years of experience in the dental field and joined our team in 2015. She grew up on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and is a graduate of Northampton High School. Keron still resides on the quiet and peaceful Eastern Shore, but enjoys commuting daily over the beautiful Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. She loves building relationships with patients and helping them get their smiles back. One of her favorite parts of the job is working with insurance companies to maximize patients’ benefits, so that they can get the proper and best treatment they deserve!
In her free time, Keron enjoys being outside and going for long walks. She also loves spending time with her husband and their blended family, which consists of two daughters, two sons and two grandsons!
Lead Dental Assistant
Jennifer joined the Gentle Dental team in 2016 as a dental assistant. She is a graduate of Princess Anne High School and received her A.A.S. Degree in Health Science with a major in Dental Assisting from the Medical Career Institute. She chose to pursue a career in the dental field because she loves having the opportunity to make a difference in her patients’ smiles. An added bonus is that the job provides enough flexibility so that she can enjoy time with her family! The best part about her job is helping people who are in pain and helping people achieve a smile they are proud of.
Jennifer is married to her soulmate, Cameron, and she is the proud mother of two sons and one step-son. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys taking mini-adventures with her family and spending time outdoors.
Katie graduated from Thomas Nelson Community College summa cum laude and earned the Patterson Dental Highest GPA Award. She is also a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Katie is certified in local anesthesia delivery and nitrous oxide conscious sedation.
Katie’s passion for dentistry developed from the idea of preventing dental disease and establishing a one-on-one relationship with patients. She is enthusiastic about providing individually tailored oral health care education and maintaining her patient’s teeth for their lifetime. Outside of the office you can find her at the gym lifting weights, running outside or enjoying the occasional hike.
